Hyundai Sets New All Time Sales Record
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America
today announced sales of 41,336 vehicles for the month of June, setting
another new all-time record for the company. The previous monthly sales
record was 41,073 vehicles set in August 2003.
Sales for June 2004 were up 19 percent over June of 2003. The Hyundai
Sonata led sales for June with 12,035 units. Sonata was followed closely by
the popular Hyundai Elantra with 11,316 and the award-winning Hyundai Santa Fe
with 10, 362.
"Sonata's recent award as the Highest Ranked Entry Midsize Car in the
coveted J.D. Power and Associates 2004 Initial Quality Study and the Santa
Fe's recognition with the AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Award reinforce
what consumers are saying every time they purchase a Hyundai product," said Ed
Bradley, Hyundai's Vice President, National Sales. "That is, when you combine
great quality, styling and value in a vehicle lineup, it really is a
win-win-win situation for consumers."
All Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles sold in the U.S. are covered
by The Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty. Hyundai buyers are
protected by a 10-year/100,000-mile power train warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile
bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty and
5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection.
