The results are from info from 2001-2004 models so hyundai will not have much of a movement until 2 years from now. Its delayed survey thats why plymouth and the chevy prizm are listed as vehicles tested. ;D Besides i dont need no stinkin survey to tell me hyundais are good vehicles.

Hey, Hyundai is 6th from bottom. Nissan, Mazda,Ford, D/C are all below avg(yet sell many cars and trucks).
Hey, this survey reminds me that some folks out there may be "dishonest" in their answers.
Long story short, 3-4 years back, on Dateline, they had a story about a 16 year old girl who got a new Sephia for her B-Day/ and getting her license. At first, she liked the car alot, but then she wold complain that the brakes were acting funny, and they'd take it in, and the mechanics found no problems ot match the complaints. Anyhow, she said this thing is wrong and that is wrong with the Sephia. Well, one day, she came home and said the brakes did not work, and she hit a telephone pole at 30-35MPH(something like this). The car was deemed totalled, but the insurance company did some investigating into the claim about the brakes. Long story short, the girl actually was forced to go to court and be questioned by the insurance comapnies lawyers. She was caught lying about the car. The brakes were fine. I forgot what happened(think 1 year probation and community service, and I think she had to pay back the company for the car!). She admitted, before being told she may face jail time(for insurance fraud), that her friends made fun of the car, and then she said it was slow and not good looking, and decided to wreck it, because she was ashamed to be seen in it anymore(I know a few people like this, let the words of a few rule their choices of vehicles, rather than tell them to mind their own business). So, if this girl was willing to let Emotions guide her to wreck a car she deemed"not good'(but liked a lot at first, and asked for, until her "friends" flamed her for driving a Kia), then do you think some people might complain about any squeak and rattle, or maybe if they drive other products, NOT complain, due to the brand?
Our cars are just fine. had some problems, but had problems with all 6 cars we owned in thepast 20 years.

hey, i read this is reports from readers. Well, long story short, people could maybe not be totally up fron on these reports(give their brand a glowing or bad report, for anything, or reason. Even say wind noise could be counted as a problem ). Mahybe we should nto take too much sotck in these surveys, afterall?

this is from thecarconnection.com, july1/04 daily editionsHonda Recalls More Vehicles
Honda Motor Co., said Wednesday it plans to widen a previously announced recall to include 1.14 million vehicles, among its largest, covering Accord and Acura cars that have the same transmission fault that triggered a light-truck recall this year. The recall will cost Honda about $63 million, in addition to the $153 million being spent on the light-truck portion of the recall. The cars affected are 2003-2004 Honda Accords, 2000-2004 Acura TL, and 2001-2003 Acura RLs. In April, the company recalled 600,000 U.S. and Canadian Odyssey minivans, and Pilot and Acura MDX sport-utility vehicles with the same transmission. Honda placed second to Toyota in this week's J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, which measures quality over three years of ownership. And while Toyota slipped from last year in the study, Honda improved. -Jim Burt
This is exactly what I meant about some people may praise their brand in survey's, even if there are recalls, etc. Just pointing out the possibilities.
If a Kia, for instance, has a rattling ashtray when they hit a bump at 55mph, they write it down and call Kia junk/ If say Honda has similar problem, they blame the road! LOL.
