The second picture there is from when it was getting redesigned for 2003 I would believe.
Also, that first picture is not of the facelift.

Hey, do you think Tiburon will be "phased out", i fthey do the Sonata Coupe in 07( I read on numerous car news sites, official sites, like detnews, carconnection, etc..for examples, that Hyundai dealers are not happy with the saels numbers for Tibby, it is "moderate" success; numbers about the saem as for last model prior to 03 debut, maybe a bit lower, in fact?).
Also , AutoWeek had a computer drawing of a awd coupe for 30grand, 4 cylinder, turboed to 300/300, for the rumored "Hyundai luxury line"(rumored is the key word here, unless Hyudnai does this, and make Tibby an upper scale sports car, and the sonata coupe the "weaker" version?).
All guessing here. If I live until 07, we will find out, or when Hyundai makes an announcement.

Nope. Not at all.
Tiburon is what the Celica is to Toyota.
Sonata Coupe will be what the Solara is.
They are unrelated... the Tiburon will not be more upscale, and the Sonata Coupe will not be sportier... they appeal to different people and both will not be sports cars...

Actually, the chance of a full blown true sports car tib (meaning rwd) isn't that far off of an idea. however, you can't pigeon hole Hyundai on what they may or may not do. Expect the SOnata coupe to handle crisply but be more of a touring car.

I sent a copy of these pics to a friend who believes these might be the facelifted 05 Tibs. Rumor has it the convertable will hit the market as a late 05 add. This would make sense to not have too drastic of a facelift so as to keep the CCS as original as possible. But as for now, from what I have been told, this should be the facelift. I don't know myself, it's not too dramatic a change, I wonder if anyone will notice! ;D

WOW those rims look hot... and they did a great job on the tail lights... the only thing i kind of don't like are teh "shark gill" on the side... i feel that they should of kept them as they were and make it a trademark of the Tiburon...

I agree. I am gald though the tail light have the same look as the CCS. However, I wouldn't bet on this being the "polished" product. There is just something about it that doesn't seem right to me. I dunno.

That's interesting.
I don't see how this suits the car better than previously, but oh well, there are enough of the 2003-2004 Tibs I will be able to feast my eyes on for years to come...

That black one is a custom, not to mention, it has vertical gills. And one of those truly retarded and annoying donkey fart exhaust pipes. Every time I see someone do that to their Tib I want to slap them. really people, if they actually did anything usefull, don't you think manufacturers would install them at the factory? I don't see Corvettes, Mustangs, or anything that goes fast coming with those. Sorry about the rant, but those things are freakin worthless.

Those fat-tips aren't worthless megadethmartyr! They add a whopping 1/2 a horsepower! ;D
Actually, even a full catback doesn't add that much power--the best I've seen adds like 10, 12 hp, and those are on big honkin' V8 cars. A typical catback would add about 6-8 hp overall (though try telling that to the typical riceboy who thinks they add about 30).

Everytime I heard one of those freaking things I make it point to stomp them with my stock Tib.
