i can't say the facelift improves the car too much in the styling department, but otherwise good.
the new vertical-slatted air vents are grwoing on me...
has anyone gone to a dealership to look at it yet? i havent... ..im interested to hear opinions on the facelift...

Hey Akita, guests can post, do you want that?
I've seen it in the dealerships (Right next to the Grocery store, and I was checking out the new F150 right after ITS release) The taillamps look better with the sharp creases, but the rest of the car needs the same creasing for it to look right. The jewel taillamps make the car look a lot cheaper than the 2001-2003 model. disappointed in it, but love the new engines.

im pretty sure the standard engine in ulev, but the optional one is a sulev
these days, so many cars are ulev, so its nothing special

only California has the SULEV engine, the rest of north america is ULEV but almost SULEV. The injectors, C-converter and s-plugs are still the none-sulev type.

yes, people need to wake up. Car and Driver magazine are especially enviro-pigs.. tehy are so ignorant towards the environment and people who promote treating the environment well.

california had to have a big environmental crisis before they cleaned up their act... hopefully the rest of the world will realize now!

im not an expert on the matter, but from what ive heard california had really bad smog and pollution, so the public demanded better laws, which is why california has the strictist environmental laws in N.A.

Rant Mode: ON
And, we've just completed our smoggiest summer EVER. Established Californians buying new cars every 3 - 5 years aren't the problem (and never were), but new arrivals are streaming into California and bringing their decade and older smog-mobiles with them - whose age exempts them from California's much bally-hooed stingent emissions compliance regulations. The result is Californians are saddled with the more stringent "SULEV" technology on new car purchases while the real problem (A> older vehicles that were never obligated to pass even California's previous emissions testing - or ANY state's in some cases, and B> makeshift repairs to vehicles that should long ago have been sent to a recycling yard) is ignored.

Well, you have some good points, but everything helps. Cars still arent good enuf emission-wise. Every bit of awareness helps.
