www.conceptcarz.com/folder/vehicle.asp?car_id=7784&autoShowID=&vehicleTypeID=0Seems 90% of the peopole who replied to this site agre: This should be made! I would rather say have 15-16 inch tires(gotta be cheaper than 19 inch tires). Maybe a 4 cylinder with 165HP and 200 HP V6? (being FWD, and all. Seems other "small" sports cars have kits to tweak them to 200hp for a 4 cylinder, or come this way..). Man, I really am hoping my car holds up. Wish Hyundai would confirm or deny the stories of th is being a Sonata Coupe(maybe thye will move Tibby upscale, then, or get rid of it?). This is one car I'd wait for.

Also, they'd have to make one with automatic, or "shiftronic", since cars like the tC come with automatics(mainly, a few manuals), and Mini's,etc...

The most the Soanta coupe is planned to get form this is small styling cues. There will be more of it that translates into the next Tib.

hey, i read a story-rumor?- that HMA is not crazy about selling tibbys?(due to "low" volume sales?).
Yeah, I don't care if this is sonata/tibby, they can call it "The Can" if they wanna; I'd deifintely check it out, if the price is not out of sight.

HMA loves the Tiburon. The problem is some dealers. They thought that when it redesigned in 02 (as an 03) they were getting some kind of supercar, not a coupe. I am not sure why they thought this, but they did. However with the discontinuing of the Celica, the Tib shoud get more than it's share of those sales. Not to mention the possiblity of that 3.3L finding it's way into it. Hehehe. I believe that when that engine makes it way in, nothing in that class will touch it.

ya gotta remeber, for July, first month sales of tC was over 6000 units for one month(or about 3 months of Tibby salesa, and more than Celica ever had in a month, I believe).
If those numbers hold up.......for Scion, Hyudnai will have to do something to gainmore sales, too.

I can't figure out that tC. I drove one this past week and there is nothing "performance" about it. It's a glazed over 2 door Corolla with a cmary 4 cyl. It's not fast, it has body roll like no other. THis fad will wear out shortly. In short, a Tib in flat out performance kills this thing.

Problem is personal Perceptions of brands,etc.. If someone thinks Toyota is King, then it is hard to tell them they are less than perfect,or for Honda, Ford,etc...
Also, supposedly, these things will be changed out every 2-3 years. Fad? I dunno. Maybe. The tC was not fast, but the engine/interior was fairly quiet. It looked"Square", as my spouse said(which is not a good thing to us).
I have a relative who buys nothing but Ford, and no one can convince him to try something else.
they throw that 171" total length hcd-8" Tibby or whatever out there, and keep pricing 16-20K, they'll steal some of those tC sales.
