I just found out that the Tucson $ cylinders are not going to be released until March 2005....Why the delay??? megadethmartyr did you here about this???

Yeah, I heard about the delay, but not a time frame. I'm really not sure what's going on. I know they are taking "orders" for the 4 cyls. I think Hyundai expects to sell many more of the V6's than 4 cyl. so even when you get the 4 cyl. you probably won't get many. At the price point they are at, they are still a better value than a CR-V or Rav4, and you get a V6.

Hyundai will not even let us preference them for allocation!!! I guess the NF Sonata will be here before the 4 cyl Tucson

Probably. On hyundaiusa.com it says if you want a 4cyl to talk to your dealer to order. I believe Hyundai is guaging the interest in the 4 cyl.

It should be noted that they can't build the Tuscons--especially the four-cylinders and the diesels--fast enough for Europe, hence the delay in getting them to the States (where the V6 is more popular anyway).

The 4 cyl Tucson's are here!!!! We received 2 a/t and the drive nicer than the Santa Fe 4cylinders, a lot smoother and quieter. I can't wait to see the manuals!!
