I find it strange that the 4cyl Santa Fe will be priced the same as the GLS Tucson...not from what I have heard. Latest word is that the pricing will not be that much different. Word is that because the next generation will be larger (3 row seating etc.), it will be priced higher. I would guess that the Tucson will only be 1-2000 less than a Santa Fe...

There is not a 4cyl Santa Fe anymore. That won't be a problem.

Where do you get your information from. There is still a 4cyl Santa Fe available. I think your sources are lying to you!

if there is a 4cyl Santa Fe on a dealers lot it is a left over. production stopped on the 4 Cyl. Santa Fe's almost 2 months ago. I assure you, don't worry about the sources.

Well I can assure you they are around, and I mean 2005 Model Year's not left over 2004. So once again, I can guarantee your sources are wrong...

Might want to ask Andrew about my sources. 4 Cyl. Santa Fe's are no longer made and have not been for a few months. There is no reason for the 4 cyl. because of the Tucson's. Not to mention pretty much every dealer should be getting their first Tucson within 14 days. BTW, don't question my sources. i assure you I know more than you.

Might not be, however, everything I have heard is that production on the 4 cyl. has stopped completely. Hyundai doesn't want the the Santa Fe to be assosiated with 4 cyl. anymore based on next year's(06) redesign we there will be no 4 cyl.

I can safely say that I am sure that I know more than you do, but I will continue to read your meaningless posts that are typically so inaccurate...it entertains me to say the least...

yeah, 14 days sounds correct. Dealership in Ohio, where we got our 04 gls sonata, mentioned October as the month when Tucsons will be hitting showrooms.

Also just to clear this up, there are NO MORE 4 cyl Santa Fe's at all. Everything coming to the dealer is extra production to hold over untill Tucson is here!!! 2005 will only be v6 models in the US.

Strange as I can with 100% truth, say that there are still 4cyl Santa Fe's produced for the 2005 Model Year...so i am really curious where you are getting your information....

Well in case you did not know the 2.4 as we know it will be the new design that will debut in the 06 Sonata which will be released first quarter of 2005. The Santa Fe model codes 60422/60423 have been discontinued for 2005. The Tucson is the entrly level vehicle and the 2006/07 Santa Fe will be alot larger-as we all know!! why would Hyundai waste the time and money to have 2 vehicles compete for the same price point? That's why THERE IS NO MORE 4 CYLINDER SANTA FE!
