I was up in Boston last couple of weeks and saw a very good review in the Globe. Here's the summary/headline: ===================================== KIA AMANTI EARNS ITS PLACE IN WORLD OF LUXURY Published on February 14, 2004 Author(s): Royal Ford
Here are two tales from the "What you see isn't always what you get" files.
The boys at my small-town recycling center - where I go for socializing as much as disposing on Saturday mornings, and where I have been known to show up in anything from a Mini to a $300,000-plus Bentley loaded down with refuse - approached my most recent ride with expectant looks. They thought another glimpse into yet another exotic awaited.
"Thought it was a Mercedes," one of them. ================================= I stopped at a Kia dealer while there but didn't have time to test drive it. Leather seating felt softer vs XG350 (less support?), didn't like "flat" dashboard, like an Avalon or 'older' USA sedan vs 'curved' XG350 and the rear seats don't fold down like my 2002 XG350L (only center 'pass-through') . Its quite a nice package though and am curious enough to drive one soon!
